Dress Code

The dress code is fairly laid back but if we have to give it a name, let’s call it “Tropical evening wear.” Feel free to wear dressed up shorts if it’s hot out! We do not expect anyone to be wearing a suit, tie, long sleeve shirt, or gown. Don’t forget comfy shoes for dancing!

Many of you have been asking about this. We do not have an official registry set up because we are just happy that you are joining us for our celebration. If you still wish to give us a gift, we will gratefully accept any contributions toward our new lives together.

    We came out to each other my sophomore year and became instant besties. Since ’05, there’s been so much v-ball, drunk nights out, and too many photos of Ronald barfing afterward. He is a fierce partier, fiercer designer and the fiercest friend.

    BEST MAN

    Chris is my brotha from another umma. We’ve been besties since elementary school, Saturday morning youth bowling, and video game sleepovers, and there’s nobody I’d rather share a bottle or seven of soju with.

    Our friendship began at tutoring where we bonded over our incompetence in chemistry. We now bond over food, karaoke, 90s/00s pop, and poop jokes. We went to Mexico in ’19 where I had fun, but she had a shitty time—if you know what I mean.

    Joe and I met on our first day in grad school and immediately hit it off debating trade policy and Asian politics—the most exciting topics known to man. Joe's love of Old Bay seasoning borders on obsession, but he's still the goofiest and kindest person I know.

    We met a decade ago playing volleyball in Seattle. He was new in town and tried so hard to be my friend by cooking me Chinese food. It worked. We even became roommates for 3 years. Kyle’s got a wok and heart of gold.

    Peter and I first met as colleagues at PitchBook Data where we bonded over our rage against bad data, shared love of teriyaki, and struggles applying to public policy/econ grad schools. I can’t imagine a more supportive friend than Peter.

    Sloan is my one and only niece. She likes to say that we are alike but I can only hope to one day be as free-spirited and confident. Last year for her birthday, we went out to a bar that she took over with her dancing. Free-spirited or hot mess?

    Im so glad I hired Taylor when I was Sports Editor at the UW Daily. Not only was he a superb writer, but we quickly bonded over our love for the Mariners and all things Ichiro, and we became part of a tight knit Daily crew that remains close to this day.

    Colin is my nephew that loves sports, sushi, and video games and will be starting 6th grade. We got to spend quality time in CA, where we rode coasters and played lots of Nintendo. He kicked my butt but let me win one game. Go Birdo!
